House of Dior, Chambord, 1954–1955

I swoon.

gorgeous.

This dress deserves hundreds of reblogs and accolades. Anything that falls under Dior’s “new look” style really does and the house’s designs in the early to mid-fifties really did change fashion forever. Kind of makes you wonder what the next  real “new look” is going to be? Fashion people are always declaring the next big thing, but I don’t think there’s been much that stands the test of time quite like the mid-century Dior silhouette.
